Buffel Grass is a major invasive weed in Central Australia, introduced in the 1960's for pastoral use. Spreading rapidly after rainfall, it out competes and kills off native flora. It produces an intense heat in a fire and will often bring down large gum trees with no struggle. Impacting Aboriginal culture by affecting viability of bushfoods, bush medicines and fauna, action against Buffel Grass is urgently needed.
